Lauren Chambers (Kell, Marietta, GA) and Emily Bernhardt (Lassiter, Marietta, GA) both turned in solid performances over the weekend in Georgia. Chambers, the national freshman class record holder, improved her season best to 49'11.00". That mark is a three foot improvement for Chambers, but, since it was thrown in an outdoor competition that was not part of an indoor meet, it will not count as a new national class record. Bernhardt's throw of 55'00.00" was not far from her season best. She continues to hold a large lead atop the national performance list.
