In his first meet of the season, Walter Henning, pictured to the right, improved his personal best in the weight throw. Henning, last year's National Scholastic Indoor Championships winner, overcame the cold weather to throw 75'08.00" and set a new personal best by 7.5 inches at the Iona Prep Invitational.

Perhaps just as impressive was the massive personal best performance turned in by second place finisher Matt Megerdichian. He threw nearly a ten foot personal best to eclipse his best mark of 55'10.50" from last season.
