A.J. Hicks (Solon, OH) was a big winner at the Ohio Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday. With a personal best of nearly six feet, the senior became the 11th thrower in the nation this year to break 70 feet. He also took home the boy's Division I title and set a new Division I meet record. The girl's title went to Therese Seide (Wayne, Huber Heights, OH) who also had three foot personal best to win a close girl's competition.

The Division II/III championship also featured some close competitions. Jeffery Rutherford (Eastwood, Pemberville, OH) threw a personal best in the final round to move into first, but former leader Brad Szypka (Genoa, OH) responded with an even better mark to win the boy's title. Jackie Leppelmeier (McComb, OH) won the girl's competition just under her personal best.
