Casey Kraychir (Twentynine Palms, CA) broke the girls freshman high school national hammer record again on Saturday at the Claremont Classic. On the fifth round of the competition Kraychir unleashed the ball and wire 173'4" to break the record she set three weeks ago at the Mt. SAC Relays. Entering the season, the record was held Allison Horner at 159'9". Kraychir placed third behind two post-collegiate throwers.
