As we've mentioned many time before, the USATF Foundation Youth Hammer Fund is accepting application for grants. The deadline has already been extended to November 15th. To download the application and read more about the grant eligibility requirements, visit Hammerthrow.org.

The previous application materials incorrectly stated that athletes must be born on or after than January 1, 1995. The intent of the grant is to help athletes that are "youth" under the IAAF definition. Therefore, the committee has corrected the qualification requirements. Now, any athlete born on or after January 1, 1994 is eligible to apply for the grant. For example, a thrower that turns 18 anytime during 2011 (e.g. they were born in 1993) is ineligible to apply for the grant.
