Alec Faldermeyer of Minisink Valley High School (Slate Hill, NY) accepted a full-ride scholarship to UCLA today.  Faldermeyer was the top junior hammer thrower in the nation last year and placed 6th at the World Youth Championships.  "UCLA was remarkable,'' said Faldermeyer. "It was a combination of things. It's the No. 2 public school in the country, and it has a huge athletic reputation with the 100 NCAA championships won. It seemed like the obvious choice.''
