High School girls 4 kilo

1. Hanna Frost, Mary M. Knight HS, SO - 133'2" PR
2. Riley Scocco, Shorewood Christian HS, FR - 122'9" PR
3. Haleigh Sudbeck, Camas HS, FR - 101'2" PR
4. Kylie Eager, Tahoma HS, SR - 97'7" PR
5. Grace Workman, Tumwater HS, JR - 96'6" PR
6. Ashley Allemeier, Inglemoor HS, SR - 75'8"
7. Dianna Church, Inglemoor HS, JR  -60'1" PR
8. Liz Breysse, Inglemoor HS, SR - 57'5" PR

Hanna Frost hits 133’2”, good for number 33 on Washington’s all time girls hammer throw list and Riley Scocco goes over 120 feet to make Bob Gourley’s National Performance List cut off standard.  Riley is only a freshman.  Heleigh’s mark of 101’2” was also outstanding for a freshman in only her second meet of her life. Lifetime best marks were achieved by 7 of the 8 girls.

High School boys 12lb

1. Andy Miller, Capital HS, SR - 205'6"
2. Brock Eager, Tahoma HS, JR - 198'6" PR
3. Joe Ellis, Eastlake HS, JR - 153'11" PR
4. Brayden Eiland, Centralia, SO - 146' PR
5. Wesley Gilge, Camas, SO - 135'7"

Brock Eager hits another lifetime best in his 2013 season, at just under 200 feet.  Joe Ellis hit a mark over 150 feet for the first time in his life to make Bob Gourley’s 150 feet cutoff standard, while 4 of the 5 entrants hit lifetime bests.  Miller did not hit a lifetime best but competed very well to pull out the win in finals.

Woman’s Open

1. Carin Tyrgg  Unattached - 130’11”
2.  Hanna Frost - 128'2"
3.  Grace Workman - 108'8" PR
4.  Riley Scocco - 106'3"
5. Kylie Eager - 100'9" PR
6.  Ashley Allemeir - 80'6" PR
7.  Dianna Church - 59'3"
8.  Liz Breysse - 56'

Grace Workman and Kylie Eager each toss another lifetime best and both go over 100 feet for the first time in their life. 

Open Men’s 16 lb hammer:

1. Brock Eager - 162'2" PR
2. Brayden Eiland - 107'1" PR

Both athletes hit lifetime best mark with Brock going over 160 feet for the first time in his life with the 16 lb hammer.

Athletes of the meet:

Girl’s:  Hannah Frost gets the nod for the girls with her big time throw of 133’2” which is currently ranked number two in the State this year.  The boy’s athlete of the meet honor goes to Brock Eager who throws a lifetime best of 198’ 6” with the 12 lb and 162’2” with the 16 lb. Both Hanna and Brock are only juniors.

The Washington State High School Hammer Championship meet will be held on the campus of Eastern Washington University on Sunday May 26, 2013.  The next Centralia meet will be Saturday 6-1-13 at 12 noon.  Best of luck to all those competing at the 2013 State High School Hammer Championships.  Feel free to call me at 360 866-9144 if you have any questions about the Centralia meets.
