Harold Connolly, Who Beat Odds in Olympics, Dies at 79 - Obituary - NYTimes.com

One of the greatest friends of the hammer throw died on on Wednesday. Harold Connolly had accomplished so much in his long life that no obituary could possible list it all. Most recently, his work has led to a resurgence in American hammer throwing. In lieu of flowers, his family requests making a memorial contribution to the USATF Youth Hammer Throw Fund in order to further the work he started. Donation can be sent the following address:
