There were several improvements at the top of both the boys and girls national lists over the past week. Alec Faldermeyer (Minisink Valley, Slate Hill, NY ) improved his best by over three feet and inched closer to Walter Henning's New York state weight throw record at Weightarama 2010 in Rhode Island. Down at the Georgia Weight Throw Championships, Akil Mills (Grayson, Loganville, GA) improved his best and two of his Throw1Deep teammates broke 70-feet for the first time all year

Also in Georgia, both Shelby Ashe (St. Pius X, Atlanta, GA) and Diana Levy (Kennesaw Mountain, GA) both surpassed Maureen Griffin's national junior class record. However, since the competition was not held indoors, the new marks will not count for record purposes. The marks do, however, move Ashe and Levy into first and second on the national list.
