Conor McCullough (Chaminade, West Hills, CA) and Lauren Chambers
(Kell, Marietta, GA) end the 2009 season on top of the national
performance list. Chambers came within one inch of the senior class and
overall national high school record while McCullough broke the national
senior class record. It was again an impressive season with 13 boys
over 200 feet and 12 girls over 160 feet. To make things better, many
of the top throwers will be returning next year. Alec Faldermeyer
(Minisink Valley, Slate Hill, NY) and Justin Welch, numbers two and
three on the boys list, will be seniors next season. Numbers two
through four on the girls list (Casey and Kate Kraychir of Twentynin
Palms, CA and Patrice Gates of Villa Rica, GA) will also be returning.
The indoor season is just three months away and we'll be there to cover
it.
